EUROSAI Strategic Plan 2024-2030

The XII Congress, held online in May 2024, approved the third EUROSAI Strategic Plan (ESP) for the period 2024-2030. This ESP was drafted by the EUROSAI Project Group on Drafting the EUROSAI Strategic Plan (ESP) for 2024-2030, under the leadership of the SAI of Israel (EUROSAI Presidency 2024-2027).

The ESP 2024-2030 contains EUROSAI’s mission, vision and values and its two Strategic Goals, together with several principles and measures for the Organisation’s enhanced governance and modus operandi. The two strategic goals, each of them led by two co-leaders who work in close cooperation with other EUROSAI members to achieve the desired outcomes, are the following:

  • Strategic Goal 1 (SG 1): Supporting effective, innovative and relevant audits by promoting and brokering professional cooperation.
    • Co-led by the SAI of Lithuania (Governing Board member) and the SAI of Germany.
  • Strategic Goal 2 (SG 2): Helping SAIs deal with new opportunities and challenges by supporting and facilitating their institutional capacity development.
    • Co-led by the SAI of Sweden (Governing Board member) and the SAI of Poland.

The Strategic Plan also places special emphasis on an enhanced EUROSAI Governance and Modus Operandi, defining the guiding principles and some key enhancements.

Additional information on the ESP:

  • The General Procedures for the ESP 2017- 2024, conceived as a guidance for the implementation of the ESP and the successful achievement of its Strategic Goals. Its validity was extended (during the 62nd EUROSAI GB meeting) until the General Procedures for the ESP 2024-2030 are approved by the EUROSAI Governing Board.
