8th Meeting of EUROSAI Goal Team 1 on Capacity building
The Capacity Building Goal Team of EUROSAI is going to hold its 8th meeting on 28-29 October 2015 in Budapest, Hungary with the participation of 13 SAIs and 2 international organizations (INTOSAI CBC, IDI).
The VIII EUROSAI Congress (Lisbon, 2011) adopted the organisation’s strategic plan for the period 2011-2017 specifying four goals, and decided on setting up four Goal Teams for the implementation thereof. One of these is the Capacity Building Goal Team, chaired by the State Audit Office of Hungary (SAO) since the IX EUROSAI Congress.
The participants are going to review the Operational plan and the relating events that had happened since the 7th meeting. One of the most important events since then was the meeting of the EUROSAI Governing Board in which SAO Hungary participated as Chair of Goal Team 1 for the first time.
The SAO President emphasised an output-oriented view. In this framework a new Innovation booklet was published. This issue was prepared by the National Audit Office of the United Kingdom. In addition, the SAI of Latvia collected the relevant materials and information on new professional development and this database was also published.
Members of Goal Team 1 completed the Operational Plan. The new and priority tasks include Open data, Delivering the message, and integrity based self assessment methods. These new tasks are going to contribute to answer the main messages of IX EUROSAI Congress.
