Goal Team 4 meeting in The Hague

The Netherlands Court of Audit (NCA) hosted a meeting of Goal Team 4 of EUROSAI (Governance and Communication) in The Hague, the Netherlands, in the second week of December, 2014. Representatives of Turkey (first Vice President of EUROSAI), Spain (Secretary-General), Hungary (chair of Goal Team 1), Germany (chair Goal Team 2), the Czech Republic (chair Goal Team 3), Portugal (former president of EUROSAI), Poland (invited expert) and the United Kingdom (invited expert) attended the meeting.
Under the presidency of Mr. Hayo van der Wal, NCA-project leader of EUROSAI, the delegates disputed, among other things, the consequences of the IXTH EUROSAI Congress in June, 2014, also in The Hague. They made preparations for the next Governing Board meeting of EUROSAI, to be held in March 2015 in Helsinki. For that purpose, Goal Team 4, was occupied with the independent evaluation on governance and modus operandi of EUROSAI, the strategy of EUROSAI for the period 2017-2023, the update of the operational plan of Goal Team 4 and the 25th anniversary of EUROSAI in 2015.
Many other items were on the agenda. Among them the invitation of the SAI of Israel to host the second ever Young EUROSAI meeting in the second half of 2015. According to this invitation there was a small Skype conversation with Israel during the GT-4 meeting.
During lunch on the first day of the GT-4 meeting, the participants were welcomed by the president of the NCA, Ms. Saskia J. Stuiveling.
