| Beschreibung | In response to the main audit question: "Has the planning of the project on management and processing of urban waste at Fier Municipality in the construction of a waste incinerator for energy recovery been carried out properly?" concluded in the message: In developing the project for the incineration of urban waste for energy recovery, stakeholders have been only formally consulted, such as the public, which has been consistently opposed, and official local institutions which have not given their professional opinion and have not represented their public, but the project has been decided to be developed despite this situation. The project has been set up and is moving forward comparing only 2 alternatives, the existing one without a project and the one that can be according to this project. In selecting this alternative, other possible alternatives have not been considered, bypassing the processes of waste reuse and recycling, and thus not implementing the National Waste Strategy. |
