Helen Clark appointed as IDC Goodwill Ambassador for SAI Independence

The INTOSAI-Donor Cooperation has announced that former New Zealand Prime Minister, the Right Hon. Helen Clark, has been appointed Global Ambassador for Supreme Audit Institution independence.
The objective of her role as Goodwill Ambassador will be to increase awareness about independence as a precondition for SAIs to effectively perform their role as accountability agents and to mobilice support to SAIs in their efforts to gain or maintain their independence.
Ms. Clark’s appointment as IDC Goodwill Ambassador for SAI Independence is effective from 1 January 2022 for an initial term of three years.
The initiative will be managed by the IDI, and a series of activities and events are planned to promote SAI independence in 2022, for which all interested SAIs are kindly invited to participate.
